She earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Michigan State University in 1994 and graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, with honors, in 1998. She then moved to Virginia and has been working at Chesapeake Animal Hospital since 1998. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Neering lives in Yorktown with her family. They have 3 dogs, a cat, some fish, and a gecko. Dr. Neering enjoys jogging, exercise, and crafts.
